UNDERGROUND BASEBALL RIVALRY
It was 1918. The Boston Red Socks were on a winning streak. The Chicago Cubs were on a losing streak. This American WWI underground city was inhabited almost exclusively by young men from New England. But for reasons that we will probably never know, several young American soldiers from Chicago also lived here. One of them apparently died in battle. He must have been a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan since the way that his friends remembered him was to inscribe his name inside the 1918 team logo of the Chicago cubs.
